Alpha Music Council

I am writing this review due to how truly awful my experience at Music Council was. During my third year I was reciting my instrument and then accidentally tripped over a misplaced book and fell onto a needle left by one of the many homeless bums that shelter in the room over night. When I tried reporting this I was ignored and name called.Outside of the massive homeless problem that leaves needles all over the place and spit in the carpet the ugly old building looks perhaps like the worst example of architectural design in all of Burnaby. The worst part was the music as everything was off tune and sounded abhorrent and akin to listening to nails scraping a chalkboard although even that is better because at least that wouldn't be as loud. During my first day at Alpha I wasn't sure if I was stumbling into some dusty kitchen or a music room.Overall I would describe this club" as subpar at best and appallingly dreadful at worst."

Couldn’t be a better environment, in which you can share your thoughts, opinions and suggestions throughout friendly conversations with fellow music students.

The AMC is an amazing club with friendly people and a welcoming environment (tenor sax is the best instrument)

Alpha Music Council is SD41's premier music club, out of Alpha Secondary's own legendary music room. Founded in 2022, the Council supports all music at Alpha, strengthening its importance in life and culture at the school.Music Council also plays a major leadership role in enhancing playing skills and fostering musical growth in our young talent in the music department, while also coordinating small chamber music ensembles which emphasize musicianship and independent, self directed learning.

I like participating in this music council :) It is my favorite club in Alpha

When I went to another school definitely, the music council there truly was awful, we got ice cream and cream pies but at Alpha we get music. At the other school there were flying toasters and cats in cracks of the toasters. I can proudly say I am a member of the normal things in life, such as this council. 10/10 and would make it passed 10 if i could but it annoys my pet amongus crewmate so i wont.

Superior music club in the district, with diligent, talented and passionate teachers and students who collaborate to make the greatest music in Burnaby.

Best music shenanigans in the district. (Bass Clarinet is criminally underrated)
